Sandy Santra was born in Pennsylvania, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, studied theater arts at Reed College and filmmaking at San Francisco State University, and has lived in New York City since 1996.

A lifelong communicator, Sandy has pursued parallel careers in business and the arts, with a common end always in mind: the clearest and most efficient communication of information, knowledge, and experience.  He has nearly 30 years’ experience working in Information Technology at the enterprise level, and over 30 years’ experience in the Arts as a writer, producer, director, musician, performer, and award-winning filmmaker.

In business, Sandy has worked in legal Information Technology for nearly thirty years—as a project manager, business analyst, communications liaison, help desk analyst, and IT technician—at over a dozen firms on both coasts of the U.S., including a number of international firms based in New York City (Clifford Chance, Debevoise & Plimpton, Dewey & LeBoeuf, Proskauer Rose).  He has been a personal technology consultant for decades, and mastered hundreds of different software packages on multiple operating systems and platforms.  He has extensive experience in hardware and programming, and supports both Windows and Mac platforms.

Sandy currently works as a Help Desk Analyst at Schulte, Roth & Zabel in New York City, where he has been an employee since 2008.  The firm’s IT Support Department has placed #1 two years in a row among legal IT departments per the industry standard AmLaw Survey.

In the arts, Sandy has authored, performed, and produced hundreds of works as a composer, musician, photographer, filmmaker, writer, director, and producer.  His videos have won awards, been broadcast on cable TV, and screened at multiple festivals.  He has taught, presented, performed, and spoken in front of hundreds of audiences on both coasts of the United States.  His passion for delivering the highest-quality product in every field he engages is a cornerstone of his mission statement.
